Science Genealogies

We are compiling the science pedigree of our faculty, students (and our student's PhD students). Please note - it would make this much easier if all our faculty and our alumni who have students, make a wikipedia entry in standard "scholar" format. That has an "info" box with advisor and advisees, major awards, etc. Of course, you can create your own, so I'm looking for volunteers to create their advisor's (and grand advisors') wikipedia pages.

Here are the lines that we've done so far: (If you'd like a higher resolution pdf for printing, just ask)

  (includes many distinguished students... any grandstudents??) - goes back through Isaac Newton through Appleton & Rutherford
• Bob Haymes's line
  (includes Paul Cloutier, Jerry Fishman and their students) - goes back through Isaac Newton through Compton
• Edison Liang's line
  (thanks to Tony Crider!) - goes back through Boltzmann
• BJ O'Brien's line
  (includes Reasoner, Reiff, Burch, and their students) - goes back through Schroedinger and Magnus
• Ron Stebbings's line
  (includes Barry Dunning and his students) - goes back through Isaac Newton via Rutherford
• James Van Allen's line
  (includes John Freeman, many students and "grandstudents") - goes back through Helmholtz and Magnus
